Three to Six Week Blocks
A series of art workshops looking at mediums & techniques in more detail in a fun relaxed environment.
Each class is 2.5 - 3 hours long, which gives us more time to complete a painting in a session & includes all materials & refreshments; you just need to bring an A3 Sketch pad.
Venue: Congregational Hall, 20 Cromer Road, North Walsham, NR28 0HD
Sessions will run from 10 am to 12.30pm @ £25.00 or 1 – 4pm @ £30 per session as stated below.
(Payment can be made in advance for each block or split into ‘bite-size’ chunks)

Back to Basics - All about drawing
11/1, 18/1, 25/1 - 10am to 12.30pm
3-week course fee £75
Over the four weeks we will look at different mediums to draw with and different ways of capturing an image on paper.

Watercolour from the beginning
1/2, 8/2, 15/2 - 1 to 4pm
3-weeks course fee £90.00
Over the three weeks we will explore basic watercolour techniques as well as discovering ways to use this medium whilst looking at the various types of this medium on the market.

Oils, two paintings in two techniques
29/2, 7/3, 14/3, 21/3 - 1 to 4pm
4-weeks course fee £120.00
We will look at the traditional way of using oils i.e. the Flemish method of creating a tonal under painting and the more modern method of 'Alla Prima', painting wet into wet. The aim is to have two finished paintings at the end of the course.

Acrylics in all its forms
18/4, 25/4, 2/5, 9/5, 16/5 - 1 to 4pm
5-weeks course fee £150.00
On this course we will explore acrylics in all its varieties whilst discovering what we can create with this relatively modern medium.
Will include painting, acrylic moulding pastes and printing techniques.

Pen, Ink, Line and wash
13/6, 20/6, 27/6, 4/7, 11/7 - 1 to 4pm

Over the five weeks we will explore inks in all its forms from traditional dipping pens, water and acrylic inks to modern day watersoluble pens.

The possibilities of pastels
12/9, 19/9, 26/9, 3/10, 10/10, 17/10 - 1 to 4pm
6-weeks course fee £180.00
Over the six weeks we will explore oil and soft pastels in its various forms. We will work on a variety of subjects to create a body of work in this vibrant traditional medium.

Mixing it All Up!
7/11, 14/11, 21/11, 28/11, 5/12 - 1 to 4pm
5-weeks course fee £150.00
We shall end the year by revisiting a lot of the mediums we have explored to create new mixed media paintings, greetings cards and gifts for family and friends. A bit of combined 'Art & Craft'!
